The exhilaration like a child on Christmas,
The scent of freshly cut grass,
Newly churned dirt.
Eyes as keen and seeing as a cheetah,
Stalking his prey, so unaware.
Glancing over the unnatural landscape,
The piles of dirt,
Wide spances of hollow.
This is what he calls home.
This is where he comes to reside.
This is where he comes to be.
His preparations almost ritualistic,
The glances of the others,
The peircing glares from those who,
Like himself, are here to live.
Or perhaps, just to make a living.
All the preparation in the world,
Coming down, as the board goes up,
Thirty seconds, as his sweat beads,
twenty seconds, as his nerves twitch,
ten seconds, as his muscles expand and contract,
five seconds, and a randomly timed drop.
The pack surrounding him as he fights,
Maneuvering his way where he can,
Here he is,
Just trying to stay alive,
As he approaches,
And let's go,
Thirty feet in the air,
Third gear pinned.

somehow along the way i thought this was the stock market getting ready to go in the morning but then i realized it was your mx free for all and i was intrigued. interesting description and once i got on the right track i liked it. the ending is nice... and i have one question that i think we talked about but i want to know the answer involving this piece....
we talked about purpose...
i think we disagreed on the place of purpose in art - or maybe we just misunderstood each other... but i want you to tell me for this piece....so i understand your view in a relationship to art.
what is the purpose of this particular single piece?
i want a simple statement please...
meow
once again... good description

Purpose, What is purpose? No, I'm just kidding with that question, you wanted a simple answer, and that is what I am prepared to give.
The purpose of this peice, was to intrigue people with the idea of mx. Really kinda inform them of what goes on in my head, and just maybe get them to look at it differently I guess. The purpose of this peiece to was show people what I like, why I like it, and how much fun it can be.
